Formal and informal feedback mechanisms (front-end; formative; remedial; summative evaluation) are commonplace, but few contemporary frameworks exist for critically evaluating the effectiveness of exhibition design and the corresponding quality of an audience’s experience. The 12 tropes covered in this book constitute a methodology for evaluating the multi-modality of a design response and the engagement level of an experience. This SCORECARD was developed to measure the design of exhibition environments, but it also performs well on digital and interaction applications.
